Link Synchronizer Requirements
Link Synchronizer has been reported to work on the following platform combinations:
- Handheld:
- Sony Clie PEG-T415
- PalmOS v4.1
- Desktop:
- Microsoft Windows 2000 Professional Service Pack 2
- Microsoft Internet Explorer v6.0.2600.0000
- HotSync Manager v4.01
- Handheld:
- Desktop #1:
- Microsoft Windows XP Professional
- Microsoft Internet Explorer v6
- HotSync Manager v4.0.2
- Desktop #2:
- Microsoft Windows 2000 Professional (SP2)
- Microsoft Internet Explorer v6.0.2600.0000
- HotSync Manager v4.0.2
- I have had one report of difficulty using the French version of Windows XP, but I have no idea if this is an isolated case or an actual incompatibility.
I would expect Link Synchronizer to work on any handheld running PalmOS 3.0 or later, and I would expect the conduit to work on any desktop running Windows 98/NT4/Me/XP, HotSync Manager version 4.0 or later, and Internet Explorer version 5.0 or later. But that is really just a guess. It definitely will not currently work with any browser other than Internet Explorer (Netscape, AOL, etc. are all out).
If you decide to run Link Synchronizer on a different environment, please let me know if it works or not so that I can put more information on this site to tell others.
Please also see the known bugs & enhancements page for more information on known issues and limitations.
