RegXML

RegXML is a command-line utility for Windows 95/98/NT/2000 which exports sections of the Windows Registry into XML-formatted files and imports the same type of file into the Registry.

(Note that as of 8/26/2001, this utility has only been tested under Windows 2000 Professional - but there is currently no reason to believe that it would have any problems under any of the other listed platforms. Please contact me if you use this utility on another platform and let me know whether it works or not.)

It's pretty straightforward, but if you need assistance usage and installation instructions are available.

The source is also available to anyone who's interested, again covered under the GNU General Public License. This version of the application was built using Microsoft Visual C++ 6.0, along with the expat library for XML parsing and STLPort.org's STL implementation. Please note that these applications/libraries all have their own licensing agreements, separate from that covering RegXML.
